I told him it’s like being locked away in the top of a castle tower.

I don’t want you to go, but know this how it needs to be.

Before you leave you say, ‘You’re safe here.  Wait for me.’

I answer, “I will with the help of God”.

I make a promise.

But another comes along and offers me the keys.

He says it doesn’t have to be like this, that I can be free

and all the tears can stop right now.

“I won’t do it”, I tell him, “I made a promise.”

My heart is in his camp.
