carrying on

“Be not far from me, for trouble is near, and there is none to help.”
~Psalm 22:11~

I keep asking, crying, “Why?”

Why do I keep finding my face soaked with tears?

Why does a normal day have me running to Psalm 22?

Why do You require of me more than I am able to give?

“For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;
Nor has He hidden His face from him; But when he cried to Him for help, He heard.
~Psalm 22:24~

  1. Our children will serve Him;
    future generations will hear the story of how the Lord rescued us.
    They will tell the generations to come
    of the righteousness of the Lord,
    of what He has done.
    ~Psalm 22:30-31~

    A beautiful ending to the psalm and answer to the question. I love the picture of your children out at night gazing at the starry sky in awe and wonder. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. May we also declare and proclaim and tell the story of how the Lord rescued (is rescuing and will continue to rescue) us!
