morning dew

Some days you wish you had a reset button.

‘Twas a morning like this.  Nothing out of the ordinary, really, just a whole lot of needs all at once for a mother with a Monday morning mind.

So I made my bed.  Then I opened the Bible.

When you open the Bible without direction you can pretty much guarantee where you’ll end up.  There’s something about the fit in your hands, when you hold the pages, touch your thumbs to turn the words.  You always end up somewhere in the middle.

A Psalm.  A Proverb.  Or a Prophet.

In other words, exactly what I needed.

“Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments, from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.”
~Psalm 110:3~

Eve’s song

He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His kind intention
which He purposed in Him as a plan
 for the fullness of time
that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth.

~Ephesians 1:9-10~

by Watermark

You repair all that we have torn apart and
You unveil a new beginning in our hearts and
We stand grateful for all that has been left behind and
All that goes before us

You’ve got all things suspended
All things connected
Nothing was forgotten
‘Cause your love is perfect
You are our healer
And you know what’s broken
And we’re not a mystery to you

Lord, you mend the breach
And you break every fetter
You give us the best
for what we thought was better
And you are to be praised
You are to be praised

We will dance cause you restore the wasted years and
You will sing over all our coming fears and
We’ll stand grateful for all that has been left behind
And all that goes before us

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance
having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things
after the counsel of His will
to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.
~Ephesians 1:11~
