touching base

Why does this feel so important?

Why this longing to be seen, to call, to text, to hear your voice, for you to experience this hidden life, to share in these happenings of our own little world?

Does a man experience this?

When you head out the door for another long day in the office, when you leave home and drive away and enter the world unknown to us, do you feel the void?

It it not enough that God is here?

  1. Not sure about all men, but my husband definitely likes to “touch base” with me, to share the details of his day, etc. It’s all about that connection, the idea that another person appreciates the same things.
