I’m in a bit of a nesting phase.
Like everything else, it comes and goes in seasons. You can’t do it all at once. Most people can’t wave a magic home makeover wand and whip up a brand new home in a weekend.
We get the pleasure of doing things the good old-fashioned way.
I’m not an interior decorator. What I mean is that I do not have the visionary knack for coordinating colors and patterns and whatever else goes along with the particular talent.
It’s the same way with clothes. I’m not sure what I like, but every so often I really like something, so I’ll buy it. Whatever it is may or may not go with anything else in my wardrobe.
For some reason it feels like I ought to know what my style is by now. I’ve been nesting off and on, building a home with my husband and children for almost thirteen years.
If someone were to ask me, I wouldn’t know what to say or how to describe it.
I like words and symbols
nature and nurture
colors and softness
Simple and true.
