“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing.
But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you.”
The key to a quiet life is a quiet heart.
Jesus stands at the door and knocks. The Lord knows, waiting is the key to unlock the heart’s door, patience is the heartbeat of God.
He doesn’t pound. He doesn’t break down the door and barrel His way in. He simply comes to the loved one and says, “Walk with me.”
With Jesus there is no more fear of the unknown. At His Word, the heart breaks, the head bows, hands fold, tears fall, and eyes open.
Return to the LORD and wait patiently for Him, as it was in the days of Noah, when the Word of the LORD was precious (1 Sam. 3:1 KJV).
Speak, Lord. Teach me, Jesus.
Your brother is listening.
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence
for my hope is from Him.
